By: Michele Greppi Criticism Continues From Election Night Miscalls
(The Hollywood Reporter) Fox News and NBC News have threatened that
they will walk away from Voter News Service, whose data came
under fire after Election Night miscalls of the presidential
race in Florida, unless they get adequate assurances that VNS
can identify the problems that occurred Nov. 7 and promise they
will not happen again.
The moves apparently came as a surprise after a conference call
involving representatives of the six member organizations: ABC
News, CBS News, Fox News, NBC News, CNN, and The Associated
Press.
"I wanted to put them on notice," Fox News Chairman and CEO
Roger Ailes said shortly after Fox released a statement that it
is "actively exploring other polling options for future
elections."
