By: E&P Staff MediaNews Group and Yahoo! HotJobs have announced an alliance that synchronizes job advertising on MediaNews newspaper Web sites with the Yahoo! site.
It's a way for regional MediaNews Web sites to satisfy people looking for a wider variety of jobs, and a way for the national Yahoo service to reach local markets, the companies said in a statement.
"Our agreement with MediaNews Group further demonstrates the value online recruiting brings to local businesses," Dan Finnigan, executive vice president and general manager of Yahoo HotJobs, said in the statement. "Our breadth of job seekers coupled with our searching and matching capabilities creates a more valuable experience for advertisers."
The MediaNews Group, headquartered in Denver, publishes 50 daily newspapers with its affiliated companies, including The Salt Lake Tribune, The Denver Post, The Oakland Tribune, and The Daily News of Lost Angeles.
