Mid-Valley Newspapers Names New Director of Ad Sales

Gary E. Tackett has been named director of advertising sales for Mid-Valley Newspapers. 

Tackett hails from Orange County, Calif., where he most recently served as classified ad director of the Orange County Register in Santa Ana. Before that, he worked in advertising for the Arizona Republic and the Los Angeles Times.

In his new capacity, he will oversee print and online advertising sales at the Corvallis Gazette-Times and Albany Democrat-Herald as well as the weekly Lebanon Express.

Tackett succeeds Bob Carruth, who earlier this summer left to join the Capital Press, an agriculture weekly.
