Mike Jung to Lead The News-Press Media Group

Mike Jung, a veteran media executive currently serving as publisher of the Idaho Statesman, will take over as president and publisher of The News-Press Media Group on Aug. 24, the company announced Monday. Jung, 57, previously worked for The News-Press’ parent company, Gannett, as an advertising director at FLORIDA TODAY in Melbourne. Before joining the McClatchy Co.-owned Statesman in 2011, Jung was publisher of the Santa Cruz Sentinel and was a senior executive at the San Jose Mercury News and the Contra Costa Times in California.
