This weekend, The Times published a story by political reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns that described a "shadow campaign" being waged by Republican presidential hopefuls, including Pence, Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Oklahoma).
