'Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel' Names Senior VP/Advertising, VP/Online Sales

By: E&P Staff Margie Cochrane has been appointed senior vice president advertising and Daryl Hively has been named vice president of online sales for Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Cochrane most recently served as director of advertising for The Arizona Republic, where she also led the restructure of the retail sales department. In addition, she developed and launched 18 community newspapers and also oversaw the Magazine and Custom Publishing division.

Before joining Gannett, Cochrane spent 15 years at Denver's Rocky Mountain News in sales management positions.

Hively most recently was vice president of interactive media for Journal Register Co. in Yardley, Pa., where he oversaw the day to day operation of 22 daily newspaper Web sites and affiliated weekly publications.

Prior to the Journal Register, he worked for E.W. Scripps Newspapers/Interactive in Knoxville, Tenn., and Cleveland.com/Advance Publications in Cleveland, Ohio.
