Minneapolis 'Star Tribune' Promotes Three Editors to New Posts

By: E&P Staff The Minneapolis Star Tribune has promoted three of its editors to new positions.

Monica Moses has been appointed executive director of product innovation. She most recently served as deputy managing editor for visuals. Moses came to the Star-Tribune in 2002 from the Poynter Institute, where she was a faculty member specializing in visual journalism.

Mi-Ai Parrish has been named deputy managing editor, a promotion from assistant managing editor for features. Parrish joined the Star-Tribune in 2002 and has held editing posts at newspapers in California, Arizona, Illinois, and Virginia.

Cory Powell has been appointed assistant managing editor for design and readership. He is promoted from presentation director. Powell joined the Star-Tribune in 2003 after working as a design director at the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer.
