The Minority Internet & Technology Professionals (MITP) organization has launched its Web site to provide a network for Black and Latino Internet professionals.
MITP.net will list minority-owned businesses and run editorial features on community members to increase awareness of minorities in the technology industry. MITP has already been used offline by companies such as HBO, The New York Times, Andersen Consulting, and Disney Publishing for help in recruiting efforts.
MITP sponsors include DoubleClick Inc. and Luminant Worldwide Corp., an Internet services company. Luminant provided Web site hosting and technical support.
