Mitchell Named Publisher of 'New Albany Gazette'

By: E&P Staff Landmark Communications has announced that T. Wayne Mitchell has been named publisher of the twice-weekly New Albany (Miss.) Gazette.

Mitchell has served as interim publisher of the paper since May. He had previously been executive editor of the TimesDaily of Florence, Ala., since 2006, and editor and senior vice president/news at the Anderson (S.C.) Independent-Mail from 1989 to 2005.
