Modesto Bee Editor Named to Succeed Jim Boren in Fresno

Joe Kieta, a veteran news executive who has served as editor of The Modesto Bee since 2012, has been named editor of The Fresno Bee.

He succeeds Jim Boren, who is retiring Jan. 19 after a 48-year career at The Bee, the last five years as executive editor.

President and Publisher Ken Riddick made the announcement Friday.
