That a sitting political party used its power to threaten a network with losing its license for not deleting key scenes and words in a movie is astonishing in the United States of America. That E&P would dispense anesthesia and drivel in place of outrage and criticism is totally predicable. ...

The [Democratic Party is] a religious cult. That's why they so often agree and sympathize with Bin Laden. E&P is functionally irrelevant and intellectually impotent among Americans but Bin Laden, Al Qaeda and Hezbollah love you all.

... You in the press and entertainment world better get it though your heads that -- even if you are leaning to the left -- when anyone's rights are removed, we won't be far from losing ours! There can be no "forgive and forget" mindset on this issue.

Clinton and his ilk can never be allowed to hold positions of authority, ever; for they have proven themselves most unworthy!

While watching the three-hour "docudrama," I was shocked by the subliminal (not to mention out-in-the-open) political agenda that threads through it. At the beginning, the producers stated that they meant to address not the "why" but the "how" of the tragedy. On balance, they came close to doing just the reverse: filling in the "why" while sketching the "how" in flawed fashion. ...

How to explain this warped approach by ABC except to note that the November Congressional elections are not far away, and the neo-conservatives are in hot water? By contrast, the delayed firefighters documentary film on CBS -- shown in the Charlotte region on WBTV at a late hour due to language content -- was a compelling human story with no discernible political agenda. ...

Which is more deplorable--the censoring of real-life language on the "ground zero" scene or the editing of central facts about the leadup to the national tragedy? ...

I wish news writers would stop trivializing dissent and outrage in this country. It's not just liberal bloggers and "some Clinton administration officials" who are upset about "Path." Those protesting include security advisors for both Administrations, some conservative pundits and just plain people like me (someone who lived through 9/11 and actually bothered to read the 9/11 Commission Report).

This is not directed at [E&P] but at the media/infotainment direction the large entertainment congolmerates are taking.

I live in Idaho but was born in St. Vincent's hospital, worked in the World Trade Center and nearly lost family members in 9/11.

I'm a moderate. Any and all media outlets will accelerate the rate of their demise and standing in the court of public opinion if they allow FACTS about 9/11 to be manipulated for either money or politics.

It would be nice to see responsible people in the media "grow some" and return to doing what the Fourth Estate is supposed to do for Americans: discover the truth, reveal the truth, and document where the truth comes from. Time to regain professional and personal pride.
