Montana's 'Daily Inter Lake' Appoints New Publisher

By: E&P Staff Rick Weaver has been appointed publisher of the Daily Inter Lake in Kalispell, Mont.

Weaver has been publisher of the Idaho Press-Tribune in Nampa, Idaho, since 2007. Before that, he served as publisher of two Pioneer newspapers in Montana -- the Havre Daily News (from 1993 to 1998) and the Bozeman Chronicle (from 1998 to 2007).

In his new capacity, Weaver also will oversee the Hungry Horse News, Whitefish Pilot and Bigfork Eagle, all of which are part of the Hagadone Newspapers group.

Weaver succeeds Tom Kurdy, who in February announced that he will retire this spring.
