By: E&P Staff A dozen more newspapers have signed up for Consumer Networks' online coupon service, Boodle. The service lets consumers download coupons from major consumer-goods companies such as General Mills and Kimberly-Clark.
The new additions include 10 papers owned by Community Publishers, Inc. in Missouri and Arkansas. They are: Harrison Daily Times, Harrison, Ark.; Newton County Times, Jasper, Ark.; Bolivar-Herald Free Press, Bolivar, Mo.; Buffalo Reflex, Buffalo, Mo.; Cedar County Republican, Stockton, Mo.; The Marshfield Mail, Marshfield, Mo.; South County Mail, Rogersville, Mo.; Christian County Headliner News, Ozark, Mo.; Nixa News-Enterprise, Nixa, Mo., and The Republic Monitor, Republic, Mo. Two other additions include, the Ventura County Star in Ventura, Calif., and The Standard-Times in New Bedford, Mass.
"Now, even the small to mid-size newspapers have the ability to distribute grocery coupons from some of the most recognized consumer brands," Jeff Beliveau, vice president of newspaper relations at Consumer Networks, said in a statement.
Boodle can be found on 275 newspapers' Web sites and, by the end of the year, plans to be in 100 top U.S. markets.
