By: E&P Staff MediaSpan Online Services, San Clemente, Calif., announced that more than 50 U.S. newspapers agreed to use MediaSpan solutions to manage their publication Web sites.
The new customers include Consolidated Publishing, Gazette Publishing, Harris Enterprises, Jones Newspaper Group, the Ketchikan (Alaska) Daily News, Lyle Printing and Publishing's Farm & Dairy, Owensboro, Ky., Messenger-Inquirer, Washington, Pa., Observer-Reporter, Tooele (Utah) Publishing, and Turley Publications (15 weeklies).
MediaSpan Online Services solutions include a content management system, E-Classified module, Enhanced Loyalty Suite, Online Survey Services and Relationship Management Suite features.
"The MediaSpan Online Services system offers us more flexibility in designing our Web site," Observer-Reporter Online Editor Harry Funk said in a statement. "We plan to emphasize features such as podcasts and videos, providing our newspaper readers with more information than is available in print."
