MQM Sends $10 Million Defamation Notice to New York Times

ISLAMABAD: Peeved at a recent newspaper article, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement party in Pakistan today issued a $10 million defamation notice to The New York Times for allegedly causing "disrepute" to its London-based chief Altaf Hussain.

The notice was served by MQM's counsel Farogh Naseem which said that the "baseless reporting" on behalf of NYT had caused damage to the reputation of Hussain.
