Muller Martini Mailroom Systems Joins PAGE Preferred Suppliers

Posted
By: E&P Staff Muller Martini Mailroom Systems Inc., Allentown, Pa., recently was approved as a preferred supplier to the PAGE (Publishers Associated to Gain Economy) Co-op, giving member newspapers in the purchasing cooperative exclusive benefits and discounts when buying from Muller Martini.

Noting that co-op members represent newspapers of all sizes, PAGE Assistant General Manager and Director of Technical Services Stephen Schroeder said in a statement that Muller Martini's varied products "fit well regardless of newspaper size, and that its AlphaLiner inserter "is an especially nice fit for some of our small to mid-sized members."

The manufacturer said that it initially will offer special incentives to newspapers interested in purchasing AlphaLiners.

Members of the non-profit co-op already account for a significant percentage of Muller Martini domestic inserter installations, according to the company, which said 29% of all AlphaLiner sites are PAGE associates and that members account for approximately 17% of all domestic installations of the SLS line of inserters.

PAGE members pool individual purchases to create large-volume leverage that earns discounts and rebates from more than 100 suppliers. Purchases include discounted ink, newsprint and other consumables, as well as office, production and electronic equipment and systems.
