Murdoch Deal May Start Advertising War With 'NYT'

By: E&P Staff Snagging Dow Jones from the Bancroft family was one business and journalistic coup for Rupert Murdoch, but according to an article on today, he might be on the verge of starting a new war -- in advertising.

The Web site reports that The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times have always fought for upscale advertising. Complicate that with the fact that Murdoch plans to expand its political and national coverage, which may create some fierce competition.
