Musical Event to Be Co-Hosted By Columnist Liz Smith

By: E&P Staff Columnist Liz Smith will co-host the New York Pops orchestra's "Musical Fireworks" event April 30 at New York City's Carnegie Hall.

Smith, whose celebrity column is syndicated by Tribune Media Services, will share the hosting duties with actor/comedian Denis Leary.

The fundraising event will feature appearances by "Today" show co-host Meredith Vieira, singer-pianist Michael Cavanaugh, Tony Award winners Leo Salonga and Anika Noni Rose, former "American Idol" finalist Diana DeGarmo, and others, according to Backstage.com, the site that shares the same parent company as EditorandPublisher.com.
