NAA Announces 2006 Digital Edge Awards Finalists

By: E&P Staff Washingtonpost.com and PalmBeachPost.com scored the most nominations in the Newspaper Association of America's 2006 Digital Edge Awards.

The winners will be announced at a Feb. 19 ceremony during the "Connections" portion of the NAA's annual Marketing Conference in Orlando.

Washingtonpost.com's six nominations include Best Overall News Site, Best Entertainment Site, Best Design and Site Architecture, and Best Automotive Strategy categories, among others. PalmBeachPost.com placed in five categories, including Most Innovative Multimedia Storytelling, Best Advertising Program, and Best Local Shopping & Directory Strategy.

AugustaChronicle.com, BonitaNews.com, Boston.com, Chicago Tribune Interactive, HamptonRoads.com/PilotOnline.com, KnoxNews.com, LJWorld.com, NYTimes.com and Online Athens all received three or more finalist nominations.
