By: E&P Staff The Newspaper Association of America has chosen this year's 10 New Media Fellows, who will receive leadership and business training and develop a strategic plan for the Web site of The Daily Telegraph in Bluefield, W.Va.
The fellows were announced at NAA's Connections 2004 new media conference being held in San Diego through Tuesday. The plan they develop will be presented to the Daily Telegraph in September.
NAA Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer John E. Kimball said the annual program "provides the opportunity for rising professionals to connect with knowledgeable new-media executives that will help them become the leaders of the future."
The fellows are:

Beth Harrell, Internet product manager, Cox Newspapers, Atlanta
John C. Jackson, director online sales, Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle
Chris Kanemura, online content manager, The Honolulu Advertiser
Mark Kim, business development manager, Newsday, Melville, N.Y.
Christine Montgomery, director of electronic publishing, St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times
Crystal Shackelford, Internet manager, The Paducah (Ky.) Sun
Sam Ugarte-Wright, online sales & traffic coordinator, The Press Democrat, Santa Rosa, Calif.
Ellen Young, new media director, The Keene (N.H.) Sentinel
Last year's fellows developed online business strategies for the Star-Herald of Scottsbluff, Neb.
