By: E&P Staff The Newspaper Association of America is handing off its monthly newsprint consumption data-gathering tasks to the company Matalia & Co., effective January 2009.
Previously, the newsprint consumption report was compiled and distributed by Media Procurement Services, a subsidiary of E.W. Scripps.
In a letter, Owen Smith, the association's vice president of technology applications, assured subscribers that the transition should go smoothly. Contributors to the report still submit consumption data by logging in to a secure server.
