NASA Photo Added to Online Version of 'Earthweek'

By: E&P Staff "Earthweek: A Diary of the Planet" creator Steve Newman of Universal Press Syndicate has added NASA's photo of the week to the online version of his feature.

The NASA photo of the week gives viewers different images of the Earth and space images from satellites. It will appear as a satellite dish on the "Earthweek" map and link to the full NASA version.

"Earthweek" -- which turns 20 this year -- provides a weekly overview of storms, floods, fires, oil spills, nuclear testing, snake infestations, and more.

Newman has been a broadcast meteorologist for more than 30 years
