'National Equality Award' for Personal-Finance Columnist Suze Orman

By: E&P Staff Columnist/author/broadcaster Suze Orman will receive the 2008 National Equality Award Oct. 4 at the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) annual national dinner in Washington, D.C.

Orman's personal-finance column is distributed by Universal Press Syndicate.

The HRC is the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender civil-rights group. Previous winners of its National Equality Award include former tennis star Billie Jean King, actress Jessica Lange, singer Cyndi Lauper, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Bishop Gene Robinson, and director Steven Spielberg.
