New Editor for Philly-Area Paper

By: (AP) Andrew Hachadorian, a longtime editor at suburban Philadelphia newspapers, has been named editor of the Daily Local News, publisher Edward S. Condra said Wednesday.

Hachadorian, 47, who started Monday, has worked at the Main Line Chronicle, where he was managing editor, and also at the Times-Herald in Norristown and at The Mercury in Pottstown, where he was city editor and then managing editor.

For the past six years, he has been the editor of an online health care publication.

"I liked it, but I didn't love it," Hachadorian said. "I love the newspaper industry. I don't like it, I love it. I look forward to returning to local news, community news."

"Andy's background, experience, and drive make him the perfect candidate to lead the Daily Local News editorial department," Condra said.

Hachadorian and his wife, Linda, live in Collegeville with their four children.
