NEW FEATURE: Fitz & Jen's Question for Monday--PDF vs. E-Editions--Voice Your Opinion Now!

Posted
By: Mark Fitzgerald and Jennifer Saba Newspapers are now sorting out their own version of the Betamax versus VCR fight for supremacy in video technology back in the 1980s. The classic PDF format for publishing replicas of print newspapers online is being challenged by e-editions. Yes, many papers, still provide PDF versions. The contest is being played out in real time at The Oklahoman, which added an e-edition while continue to offer a PDF version that it calls "the Classic edition."

Bonus Question: Fitz & Jen are going to pose a topical question every day, but we're looking for a jazzier title to the feature that communicates our laser focus on the business side of newspapering. What do you think? And we're open to other suggestions, of course. Go to Fitz & Jen to comment.
