By: E&P Staff Never mind that Florida is the epicenter of the housing crunch and plunging newspaper ad revenue: The people behind Florida Weekly in Ft. Myers is expanding into Naples.
Naples Florida Weekly will launch Oct. 2 and will cover news, arts and entertainment, dining, regional business, and real estate. The tabloid will be distributed through more than 500 newsstands and the mail. Florida Weekly in Ft. Myers has a readership of 50,000, according to a statement.
"I feel confident that Collier County is going to embrace a new voice much like Lee County," Pason Gaddis, group publisher of Florida Weekly, said in a statement. "We believe the Naples market is seeking a sophisticated news outlet for its important business issues."
