By: E&P Staff Today, residents of Aurora, Colo., will get their first taste of a daily newspaper with the debut of the free Aurora Daily Sun. The Daily Sun will join its sister publications the Aurora Sentinel, a paid home-delivered weekly, and the Aurora Sun Sentinel, a free weekly.
"As Aurora matures from suburb to city, the Daily Sun will serve a rapidly growing and changing community," said H. Harrison Cochran, publisher of the Aurora Sentinel in a statement. "For a hundred years the Aurora Sentinel and other weekly papers have served Aurora. As Colorado's third largest city enters the 21st century, it's ready to add a daily newspaper."
The Daily Sun will be distributed Monday through Friday. Both weeklies will continue to publish on Thursday.
"In the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee, Aurora's residents and workers can grab the most important world, national, state and local news in a friendly easy-to-read format," Cochran said.
