New K&F Punch Bender, CTP Quality Software

Posted
By: E&P Staff K&F International, based in Granger, Ind., introduced an in-line plate punch bender and quality-control software for computer-to-plate production.

K&F's new, top-of-the-line ProVision Alliance is a single-stage punch bender that vision registers, punches, and bends the plate in one location. ProVision Alliance has a smaller footprint than previous K&F benders, full viewing and access hoods, and electronically driven bend heads for greater accuracy and repeatability. Its Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation components are supported worldwide.

As exclusive dealer to North American newspapers, K&F also now offers PQCS.net Web-based inline plate quality control. The measuring system for CTP plate production uses 18 control fields on each plate, with up to four cameras to check plate quality.

PQCS.net can alert users to deviations in tolerances via e-mail or warning beacon, or it can be accessed through an Internet browser with no additional software -- putting up-to-date plate production statistics from any computer.
