By: E&P Staff Aaron McGruder, creator of the former "Boondocks" comic that inspired the Cartoon Network's current "Boondocks" TV show, has made a deal to develop a live-action series for the online comedy hub Super Deluxe.

That's according to The Hollywood Reporter, which noted that the Cartoon Network and Super Deluxe are both owned by Turner Broadcasting.

The story said that, starting next month, "The Super Rumble Mixshow" will offer more than 20 "mini-episodes" of sketch comedy and more.

McGruder, whose high-profile comic was distributed by Universal Press Syndicate from 1999 to 2006, said he's looking forward to doing topical commentary without the long lag of animation.

The Hollywood Reporter is owned by the Nielsen Company, which also owns E&P.
