New Owners Join SNA's National Ad Network

By: E&P Staff Suburban Newspapers of America (SNA) has added additional National Advertising Network owners.

New full owners of the network that signed on are Dix Communications, NPG Newspapers, Inc., Packet Publications, which converted from a fractional owner to a full owner, and one other company that has yet to be named.

There are new fractional owners too: Aurora Publishing Co., CrossRoadsNews, Inc., Fayette Publishing Inc., Mile High Newspapers, Red Wing Publishing Co., and Richner Communications.

When SNA first announced the network in June, there were 10 full and fractional owners.

"The ownership group represents outstanding community newspapers companies including a nice mix of small to large, with most publishing newspapers in top 35 markets," Nancy Lane, president of SNA and the National Network, said in a statement. "Most companies that have declined ownership at this time have expressed strong support for this network and have vowed to work with us on rates and marketing information."

The network will serve the entire suburban and community newspaper industry regardless of affiliation with SNA or of ownership.

The network is scheduled to launch in mid-August.
