New Owners Threaten to Shut Down Philly Newspapers

The creditors who won The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News in a second auction are threatening to shut the newspapers down,  claiming the mailers union is balking at a new contract. The Inquirer’s staff writer Christopher K. Hepp has the story here.
