By: E&P Staff The Washington Post's Web site, washingtonpost.com, announced today its plans for political coverage in the remaining runup to the presidential election, including details of planned coverage for tonight's debate.

Tonight and at the three future face-offs, the site will publish "The Debate Referee," a feature in which a "truth squad" of washingtonpost.com and Washington Post writers and editors will check the veracity of claims the candidates make during the debate. "Next Day Analysis" will consist of live chats with washingtonpost.com chief political correspondent Terry Neal and Washington Post associate editor Robert Kaiser.

Other political features at washingtonpost.com will include daily tracking polls starting Monday, Oct. 4, and running through the election, daily live online chats with political newsmakers and analysis, video reports, and voter guides, among other things.

"Along with our comprehensive Election Night coverage, our pre-election political features will help convey to our readers both the seriousness and the excitement of this important moment in the nation's history," Caroline Little, CEO and publisher of washingtonpost.com, said in a statement.
