New Publisher at Herald-Argus

By: Patrick Kellar has been named publisher of the Herald-Argus.

Paxton Media Group LLC Indiana-Michigan Group Publisher David Holgate announced Kellar's appointment Wednesday.

Kellar, a native of Bismarck, N.D., has worked with Paxton Media since January 2000, when he was named publisher of the Connersville News-Examiner. He was appointed publisher of The Courier-Times of New Castle in January 2006.

Before joining Paxton Media, Kellar was publisher of the Times-Record in Valley City, N.D. and managing editor at the Ashley (N.D.) Tribune (nyse: TRB - news - people ). He also has worked at The Bismarck Tribune, The Fargo Forum and the Minot Daily News in North Dakota.

Paxton Media bought the Herald-Argus this month, giving it 11 papers in Indiana. With the addition of the Herald-Argus, the Paducah, Ky.-based group publishes 32 daily newspapers, including The News-Dispatch of Michigan City, about 10 miles from LaPorte in northwestern Indiana.
