New Publisher for 'Danville (Ill.) Commercial-News'

By: E&P Staff John Reed has been named publisher of the Danville (Ill.) Commercial-News, effective May 23. Reed has served as the newspaper's business manager since 2001.

Reed succeeds Carol Nichols, who has been named publisher of The Herald Bulletin in Anderson, Ind. She was publisher of the Commercial-News for four years.

Both papers are owned by Birmingham, Ala.-based Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.
