New Stretch-Wrapper From Lantech

Posted
By: E&P staff Lousiville-based Lantech has introduced its S-2500 overhead stretch wrapper, which combines operational flexibility with 80-pallet-per-hour capacity for processing unstable or heavy loads. Designed for automated, conveyorized operation, the S-2500 can be used in-line, end-of-line or freestanding (fork-truck loaded) to allow load accumulation.

The machine's Power Roller-Stretch Plus film-delivery system pre-stretches film up to 300% for economical operation. The S-2500's diagonally opposed two-column chassis provides stability and easy installation using modular shipping techniques and accessible lag-down points.

The model handles loads up to 58 inches square and 80 inches tall, providing automatic load indexing, film attachment, cutting and wiping. Customization includes more than 100 off-the-shelf options, such as a top-sheet dispenser and the Pallet-Grip load-locking.

The touch screen control with Lan-Logix interface allows reprogramming of key wrap parameters while ensuring precise wrap force and performance. Lan-Logix eliminates the need for software and hardware to make minor program changes. It includes multiple wrap patterns, precise wrap pattern control, password protection, efficiency-data capture, audible alarms and indicators for low film and a wide range of other faults, and integration with plantwide control systems.

Safety features include personnel barriers and fencing with interlocked sliding gate to deter accidental entry into the wrap zone during operation. Photocells monitor the wrap zone for proper load sequencing. Film-delivery reloading is accomplished from floor level, protecting the operator from bending, twisting and reaching, or standing on the conveyor.
