By: E&P Staff Josh Greenman has been named opinion editor at New York's Daily News, and joins the newspaper's editorial board. He assumes his new post April 3.
Since June 2004, Greenman has served as director of strategy and communications for the Teaching Commission, a bipartisan non-profit organization established in 2003 to increase the level of compensation and quality among American teachers.
No stranger to politics, Greenman served as chief speechwriter for Joseph Lieberman for President from July 2003 to February 2004. Prior to that, he was Lieberman's communications advisor from November 2001 through July 2003.
A Yale alumnus, Greenman served the office of then-Mayor Rudolph Giuliani as special assistant to the deputy mayor for planning, education, and cultural affairs from 2000 to 2001.
