By: E&P Staff The New York Times is promoting yet another online way to access its information -- a new RSS feed for use when searching Times archives and story files that keeps track of content from a specific subject for users over time.
"Our new Custom Times Feeds tool provides a simple, customizable and familiar way to get news and information about almost anything you can think of," an announcement on the Times First Look blog states. "... the custom RSS tool excels at two very important tasks: following all of the news on NYTimes.com that's relevant to a given topic, and following a particular news story as it develops over time. And it allows you to do these things in a familiar way -- with RSS feeds."
The new approach allows online readers to search past content on a subject, which is then updated as time goes on with new content via a personal file.
