Here's another announcement for the dot-com Society page. Two weekly New York City newspapers have formed a strategic alliance with EdificeRex.com, a Web site for luxury apartment dwellers in Manhattan.

Claiming a combined weekly circulation of 95,000 households, Our Town and West Side Spirit newspapers will provide local news to the EdificeRex site. Newspaper sales reps will also promote joint print/Web advertising packages.

EdificeRex CEO and former New York Post publisher Peter Price said his site has been looking to increase local content, which the newspapers will provide. EdificeRex is a subsidiary of Insignia Financial Group Inc., which claims to be the largest residential management company in New York City.

The newspapers are owned by News Communications Inc., which also publishes the Queens Tribune, Brooklyn Skyline, and 10 titles in Nassau County. Including The Hill weekly in Washington, D.C., the company publishes 22 weeklies.
