Newman Leaves 'NYT' for 'L.A. Times'

By: E&P Staff Michael Newman has been named deputy editorial page editor of the Los Angeles Times.

Newman, 39, most recently was staff editor of The New York Times' Op-Ed page. Previously, he worked at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette from 1990 to 1999.

He succeeds Judy Dugan, who will now be a senior editorial writer and remain on the board.
