San Francisco-based iSyndicate announced a $55 million mezzanine round of financing this
week. Joining strategic investors NBC, InfoSpace, and Vignette were News Digital Ventures
(the new-media investment arm of News Digital Media and News Corp.) and Microsoft.

News Digital Media will become a featured global news provider to iSyndicate, which
distributes content from over 800 sources to over 200,000 Web sites. News Digital Ventures
President Kathryn Fink said the deal would drive traffic to FoxNews.com, FoxSports.com,
and Fox.com.

Microsoft will partner with iSyndicate on technology.

iSyndicate is also backed by Scripps Ventures, an arm of The E.W. Scripps Co.
