Newscolor Standardizes 'IBD' Proofs

By: E&P Staff Investor's Business Daily chose Newscolor L.L.C., Los Altos, Calif., to provide a nationwide proofing solution. The internationally distributed paper will use the same Newscolor proofing capability at its own Los Angeles production site and at 11 newspaper print sites across the United States.

"Newscolor software with HP Designjet printers was selected as a proven, cost-effective solution for repeatable and accurate newsprint proofs throughout IBD's printing network," Newscolor Sales and Marketing Director Karen Barr said in a statement.

Nine IBD newspaper print sites that now run Newscolor proofing software will be upgraded to mirror the new Newscolor Version 4.3 installation at IBD's production site. Newscolor and IBD will create a "standard" color match for use at each print site. Sites can produce the same proofs using the same Newscolor color match and printer linearization software.
