Newsday Media Group (NMG) has announced that Paul Likins has joined the company as vice president of digital operations, and Stefanie Angeli has joined the organization as senior director of national sales.
In this newly-created position, Likins will lead all of NMG’s digital business efforts including ad operations, data analytics and vendor and partner relationships. Likins will also direct the growth and expansion of new and existing advertising sales-related products and platforms. He will report to NMG publisher Gordon McLeod.
Angeli will be responsible for cross-platform advertising solutions, including digital and mobile advertising sales opportunities and strategic initiatives for the Newsday and amNewYork brands. Angeli will report to both Larry Dunn, SVP sales for NMG and Rich Tomko, publisher of amNewYork.
“Paul and Stefanie are savvy media executives with the deep expertise, leadership qualities and vitality needed to take Newsday Media Group to new heights,” said McLeod. “Getting these talented professionals on board at the same time will enhance our digital business efforts.”
Likins has more than 14 years of experience creating solutions for digital and mobile ad operations, ad technology and production for several large publishers. Most recently, he served as head of revenue operations and programmatic solutions for Wenner Media, which includes Rolling Stone, US Weekly and Men’s Journal. Prior to that, he served as director of revenue operations for the Wall Street Journal Digital Network. He has served in a variety of advertising operations roles for publishers including Rodale, Time Inc., Real Media, Traffic Mac and CBSMarketwatch.com.
Angeli brings extensive experience in print and digital ad sales, especially in the areas of packaged goods, pharmaceuticals and entertainment. She has spent the last two years leading sales for Mom365.com. Prior to this, she worked for 12 years at Scholastic as associate publisher of Scholastic Parent & Child Media.
