'Newsday' Names New VP/Advertising

By: E&P Staff Raymond J. McCutcheon has been named vice president of advertising for Newsday. McCutcheon previously served as senior vice president/advertising for the Los Angeles Times, where he has spent the past five years.

McCutcheon, 47, joined Tribune Media Net earlier this month. He spent 13 years at Newsday in various research and ad jobs, including a stint as vice president of advertising from 1998-99.

McCutcheon succeeds Kenneth Whitfield, who is leaving Newsday after about a year in the position.
