Newspaper Audience Databank Announces New Board of Directors

The Newspaper Audience Databank (NADbank Inc.) recently announced its 2011 Board of Directors. Jean Durocher, vice president of marketing and sales at La Presse Ltée and president of Gesca Media Sales, has been named chair. She replaces Kevin Bent, president and publisher of Pacific Newspaper Group and executive vice president of Western Canada Postmedia Network Inc. Newly-elected to the board are John Connolly, publisher of Edmonton Journal; Karen Nayler, leader with Mindshare Canada; Mike Power, publisher of The Toronto Sun and 24 Hours Toronto.
The rest of the board includes Andrew Saunders, vice president of advertising sales of The Globe and Mail, who will continue as vice chair; Veronica Engelberts, President of Vector Media, who will continue as treasurer; Kirk Allen, executive vice president with Postmedia Integrated Advertising at Postmedia Network Inc.; Don Brander, publisher and general manager of The Guardian and group publisher of Transcontinental Media Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island; Philippe Guay, vice president of Toronto national sales with Quebecor Media Inc.; Sara Hill, president of M2 Universal Communications Management; Sandy MacLeod, vice president of Consumer Marketing with the Toronto Star; Bill McDonald, group publisher of Metro English Canada; John Tarantino, vice president and media director of COSSETTE; Alain Tardy, vice president of media with Marketel; and Robert Troutbeck, president of Troutbeck Chernoff Inc.
In addition to Bent, retiring from the board are Sunni Boot president and CEO of ZenithOptimedia Canada Inc.; Chris Brockbank, executive vice president of marketing and productmManagement with Sun MediaCorporation; and Peter Vaz, vice president and director of digital communications with M2 Universal Digital.
NADbank conducts annual readership, product, retail and lifestyle category studies in urban markets across Canada.
