With the presidential debates over, newspapers are beginning to make endorsements.
On Friday, The Washington Times gave its nod to Republican George W. Bush, saying he "far surpasses Vice President Al Gore whether the qualifications are measured in terms of political priorities, leadership, personal character, governmental philosophies or vision of the future."
Gore on Friday picked up an endorsement from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It said the Democrat "is much more engaged in the world around him [and] more willing to do the work needed to comprehend a complex situation."
