Marshall A. Genger has been named vice president, finance of the Newspaper National Network LP, a private partnership owned by 25 of the largest U.S. newspaper companies and administered by the Newspaper Association of America.

Genger is a finance industry veteran with career concentrations in the consumer packaged goods and publishing industries.  He has held key senior executive positions at General Foods Corporation, Gaines Foods, New York Daily News, Random House Value Publishing, Henry Holt & Co. and most recently as senior vice president, chief financial officer at Impremedia, the largest Spanish language news and information company in the United States.

“Marshall’s financial acumen, media industry insights and passion will be instrumental as NNN leverages the power of newspaper brands to connect audiences to national advertisers across platforms and properties,” said Ray Chelstowski, CEO of Newspaper National Network LP. “He is a team player who, as my first hire, will provide valuable direction on a vast array of long-term and day-to-day operations at NNN designed to stimulate revenue for the industry.”

Genger is a key member of Chelstowski’s management team charged with the development and implementation of “first to market” solutions for national advertisers.

“I am excited to join NNN at this critical industry tipping point” said Genger.  “I am committed to the development of new channels and business alliances that strengthen the bottom line for our newspaper and advertiser partners.”
