By: Newspaper publisher Calkins Media said Tuesday that it's restructuring the company to better position itself for future growth.

The owner of eight newspapers, including the Bucks County Courier Times, and three television stations said it has regrouped operations into print, broadcast and interactive media divisions. An operating committee presides over the divisions.

Mike Scobey, publisher of The Intelligencer newspaper in Doylestown, will head the print division. Corporate advertising will now fall under this division as well.

Manny Calvo, president of Calkins' Southern Broadcasting Co. unit in Sarasota, Fla., will remain in charge of broadcast.

Bob Kellagher, director of new business development, will head interactive media.

Chief Financial Officer Michael White will be in charge of general corporate services staffs to support the three divisions.

Levittown-based Calkins Media operates six papers in Pennsylvania, and one each in Florida and New Jersey. It also owns ABC-affiliate TV stations in Sarasota and Tallahassee, Fla., and Huntsville, Ala., and operates various Web sites.
