By: E&P Staff "The Holly Wreath Man," a serialized novel Universal Press Syndicate distributed to 75-plus newspapers last month and in December 2003, is being turned into a TV movie.

It was optioned by Chris-Rose Productions of Los Angeles, which envisions the feature as a two-hour film for the 2005 or 2006 Christmas season. Co-producing will be John Glynn and Bridget McMeel of AMUSE, the TV/movie arm of Andrews McMeel Universal and a sister company to the Universal syndicate.

"The Holly Wreath Man," written by the husband-wife team of Christopher "Chip" Scanlan (of the Poynter Institute) and Katharine Fair, will be syndicated to newspapers again this December. The serial's illustrator is Jillian Gilliland, who also illustrates Universal's weekly "Tell Me a Story" feature.
