NewspaperARCHIVE to Offer More Free Pages

Posted
By: E&P Staff NewspaperARCHIVE, the online newspaper archive, announced Tuesday that it would open millions more pages up the general public for free.

Under the terms of the new offer, all pages dated as the current day in history will be available without a subscription. NewspaperARCHIVE announced earlier this month that every front page in their database would also be available for free.

"The amount of history available each day is staggering," Dave Stoddard, Web Marketing Manager for NewspaperARCHIVE, said in the announcement. "By making these pages available to anyone with an Internet connection, we are putting millions of individuals in touch with the past."

NewspaperARCHIVE contains newspaper pages dating from 1759 through the present day, covering all 50 states and 861 cities and towns. The entire database is available to members, who pay charges ranging from $9.99/month for annual membership to $17.99/month for monthly membership.
