By: E&P Staff United Mileage Plus and Newspaper Subscription Services have teamed up to give Mileage Plus members the opportunity to earn more frequent flyer miles. Or, if members are so inclined, they can redeem miles for newspaper subscriptions.

The program, which launched today, lets members collect more miles -- up to 1,000 -- whenever they subscribe to a newspaper. Members have access to The Wall Street Journal and USA Today as well as papers in 60 markets including United hubs Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Members can also use miles to purchase newspaper subscriptions for up to 50% to 100% off the total cost.
